続・読書『英語の品格』第3章（インターナショナル新書）ロッシェル・カップ／大野和基 著
読書『英語の品格』の続き。たくさん掲載されている文例のなかから、自分にとって使い勝手の良さそうな例文を「わたし用」にまとめています。「第1章日本人英語の非常識」、「第２章自然な英語を目指して」に続いては、「第3章品のある英語に仕上げるためのスパイス」です。

「言いにくいことを伝える」場面での婉曲的な言い回しなど、日本語に置き換えても使えると思いました。丁寧な言葉遣いを心がける際の考え方は、英語も日本語も同じですね。
